Which AA batteries lasts longer? →
The longest-lasting was Energizer Advanced lithium. It took 809 photos before dying; the quickest to die, Walgreens Supercell alkaline, took just 133. Take manufacturer claims with a grain of salt. Duracell Ultra PowerPix, for example, lasted for 174 shots, which is indeed “up to 200 photos,” as claimed—but any number under 200 meets that boast. Trip Report: Barcelona & Madrid (part 5)
[This is my trip report on my recent trip to Spain. It’s my first trip report and (unlike professional travel bloggers) I’m not quite sure what I’m doing yet, so bear with me everyone! I’ll try to keep the format of my trip reports similar to other travel bloggers, but I’m going to include more pictures, so each post will be a little long. This was an out-of-pocket trip. I did not use any...

The McRib is back! →
NEW YORK (AP) — The McRib, the elusive sandwich that has inspired a cult-like following, is back. McDonald’s Corp. plans to announce Monday that the boneless barbecue pork sandwich that is not always available in stores will be sold at all U.S. locations through Nov. 14. It’s usually up to local franchises to determine when and if they want to sell the McRib, except in...

There are 3.2 unfilled job openings in America
Link to source Before we jump on the bandwagon, these numbers may be a bit misleading. Consider the following: For many Americans, it’s very difficult to re-locate as many of our houses/properties are currently “underwater” (i.e. the house is currently worth less than what we paid for) Cushy unemployment benefits is a good reason people are not taking jobs to their liking. Cut...

OneWorld MegaDo 2012 --... →
After booking a few free (minus taxes) trips to Asia & Europe for myself and my girlfriend, I can “officially” call myself a travel hacker now. And because of that, I really (and I mean, really) want to go to OneWorld MegaDo 2012 (OWMD 2012). What is a MegaDo? (according to OWMD 2012’s website) A MegaDo is a chance to meet fellow travel junkies and hobnob with top...

The First Trillionaire →
moneyisnotimportant: parislemon: Annie Lowrey: If the United States averages 3 percent annual inflation, and the richest American’s fortunes keep up with Gates’, America would have a trillionaire in 98 years. But now let’s assume that the richest American’s fortune not only matches the rate of inflation, but outpaces it by, say, an additional 3 percent a year. At that rate, we should have a...
